Porchetta is an Italian traditional food made in Lazio and Umbria with typical sandwich, but it’s great in many variations. Here below we propose you a very easy and fast recipe to make it a tasty aperitif with friends. You will need:
- 12 crushed bread
- 2 slices of porchetta (1 cm thick)
- 80 gr provolone
- olive oil
- 1 garlic clove
- wild fennel seeds
- pepper
- valerian leaves
Start the process by pouring oil into a bowl and add aromas. Let it sleep for a couple of hours to give it some flavour. In the meantime, peel the provolone and make cubes of about 1 cm on each side. Cut two slices of porchetta into cubes and set it aside. Place crushed bread on a large serving plate and place the provolone and porchetta cubes on top. Finally pour a few drops of aromatic oil and decorate as you like with valerian leaves. You can also bake it all for a few seconds in the oven, if you want.
